What are you tolerating?

You may wonder what tolerance has to do with happiness, profits, and business. It is a distraction from you putting your best foot forward. Naturally when people want to launch a business, they immediately blurt out how much money they want to earn. Assuming that, they will make it overnight. They place false expectations on how to manifest revenue and are not fully committed to business ownership because they don’t understand the fundamentals of business  as a whole.   Having false expectation is a form of tolerance, and that equates that you are not being real with yourself.

In a nutshell, fundamentals are ….. a clear brand message that connects with its niche audience, defining your ideal target market, creating products and services that solve the problems of your ideal client and speak to their ambitions all in the same, capital needed to create an online presence to attract clients (leads).

Those are all the basics of business. If you don’t have those things defined, then you are in your beginning stages of business development, and you need help. I can help you with that, but I will address that later.

You can have paying clients, but if you don’t have a system in place to rinse and repeat your efforts, then you will waste your time spinning your wheels while you attempt to be more and do more.

The truth…entrepreneurship is an extension of you. If your mindset, time management, commitment level, and why (purpose) is not established before you launch and grow your business then you ARE going to encounter unnecessary struggles outside the normal scope of day to day business opportunities and obstacles.

Business is 15% skill-set and 85% mindset…take a moment to think about that. Mindset is everything; that is why I talk about it all of the time. It determines your self-worth and net-worth.

I want you to become aware of what makes you happy. There is power in learning how to pay attention to what makes you stop in your tracks…. the kind of hesitation that forces you  to think things through a little longer than you anticipate because something doesn’t sit right with you.

Why are you tolerating certain aspects of your life? Better yet, let’s identify  life events that would warrant you to play small and constantly live in chaos.

  • Being overweight and being slave to an unhealthy lifestyle that jeopardizes your overall physical and mental health
  • Living pay check to pay check. Barely earning enough money to pay your bills in full and on time monthly
  • Working at a job that does not excite you or peak your interest enough to inspire you to want to do your best
  • Being late, unprepared, and unorganized
  • Not having candid conversations with your friends, family and or lovers about what matters most to you because you fear they might not understand or respect your perspective
  • Defaulting to that arsenal of excuses that you have brainwashed yourself over the years…those ideas and thoughts that keep you stuck daydreaming, wishing and praying vs. taking action
  • and this list could go on and on, but I am just going to assume that you get the picture

Stop shrinking back because you are worried about what people will think. If you are experiencing discomfort in any area of your life, that means that you are tolerating something that is not in alignment with what you desire. The only way you can eliminate the discomfort is to address the tolerance head on. You can not ignore anything that is adding stress to your life and not allowing you to live up to your full potential.

When the mind is stressed, decision-making suffers and makes room for assumptions, interpretations, and beliefs that may not be true. Therefore, it encourages you to tolerate something that may not be in your best interest.

I want to challenge you to analyze everything in your life and business that is not in order with your vision.

Here are some questions to ask yourself to get the ball rolling and yes some of these are fill in the blank scenarios:

  1. Does __________ make sense?
[Directive]  Identify exactly what you don’t like about the situation and be specific when addressing it. Communicate exactly why it is not working for you and declare your new desired outcome. Say it out loud and write it down on paper. If it is not written then, you can not measure your level of success.
  2. What is the root cause of the tolerance? Why have you chosen to ignore a situation that rubs you the wrong way? What do you stand to lose if you address it? What do you stand to gain if you remove this block from your life?
  3. What support and resources can you identify today to help you start living the life that you so desperately want?

You always have options to enhance the quality of your life and business; you just have to be bold enough to ask for help and address areas of life that disrupt your happiness.
